Education and Humanitarian Service Organization (EHSO) is a registered Afghan nonprofit organization working to support vulnerable communities through education, health-related support, humanitarian response, disability inclusion, accessibility, sustainable development, and innovation. Registered under the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan with Registration No. 5478, EHSO combines local action, community trust, and accountable service to help people facing hardship across Afghanistan.
Since 2022, through locally raised support, volunteer contributions, and community outreach, EHSO has helped an estimated 3,000 people across Afghanistan.

Communities and People at the Center of Our Work
EHSO focuses on people facing vulnerability, exclusion, crisis, poverty, or limited access to support, including children, women and girls, youth, persons with disabilities, low-income households, and communities affected by humanitarian or social hardship.

2022 — Helping Families Through Community Support
EHSO expanded local outreach by identifying households facing severe hardship and responding with community-supported assistance through locally raised funds and direct engagement.

2022 — Supporting Children’s Access to Learning
EHSO used local networks and community engagement to support awareness around education and encourage children and families to remain connected to learning.

2023 — Health Awareness and Community Care
EHSO strengthened community engagement around health-related support, awareness, and practical guidance for vulnerable individuals and families.

2023 — Standing with Persons with Disabilities
EHSO increased attention to disability inclusion and accessibility by promoting respect, visibility, and inclusive community support.

2024 — Humanitarian Response for People in Need
EHSO continued delivering humanitarian support through locally mobilized resources and direct assistance to people facing hardship in different communities.

Working Through Community, Networks, and Institutional Engagement
EHSO values collaboration with communities, volunteers, civil society actors, humanitarian institutions, and development organizations that share a commitment to dignity, inclusion, accountability, and community impact in Afghanistan.
